Angela Rice

Kindergarten

Angela Rice was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada along with her seven younger siblings. While growing up her parents were foster care parents which is where she really fell in love with helping children learn and grow. After high school, she pursued higher education in Provo, Utah studying at Brigham Young University where she received a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a double minor in TESOL (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages) and Family Life.  While attending school she met her wonderful husband, Sam. He is from the Boise area and showed her how great Idaho is. Over 4 years ago, after college they moved to Idaho Falls and have three children.

Angela enjoys being with her family, playing board games, watching documentaries, and learning new things. A few of her favorite things include all things penguins, nachos, raspberry lemonade, and KINDERGARTEN. Angela has worked in preschool, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade, but loves Kindergarten the most and has been teaching it for the last 3 years in the Idaho Falls area. To her, education should be as fun and as hands-on as possible. She is happy to be joining the Alturas family.
